Leather, earth, raisin, hint of cherry and candied fruit. Balanced tannins and acid. Two hour decant, just starting to come into it's own though I don't expect it to become spectacular. Wish I had opened this a few years ago but feel it's on it's decline now.

Tertiary development on the nose with leather, earth and still a faint touch of cherry. Light, clear garnet colour. Light and well balanced palate, with flavours heading into the second/tertiary range. Earth, leather and a touch of tart cherry. Fully resolved tannins and balancing acidity. This was probably just past peak or at the tail end of peak and it was fading a bit in the glass as it got air. Was a bit surprising this was from a riper vintage as it had no raisin or cooked/stewed fruit flavours and was well balanced (acidity/tannins).

Soft and sophisticated. Almost had a mature burgundy feel to it. I liked it more than I expected. Drinking well.

Lacks definition and shows some of its alcohol. I don't expect this will work itself out with more time, so don't get your hopes up.

Earth, not altogether pleasant nose, but very nice dark fruits and finish.
