This 10 Years old J Davies Cab is a dark red Bordeaux color , with aromas of red and black berries, prunes and dry figs. At taste is round, Smootht with taninn taste and a long finish. I had it 5 yards ago and I must say it is even better by now .
Poured through an aerator, dark fruit on the nose, the palate was blueberry, cedar, a touch of sage, fully integrated tannins, overall a lush feeling in the mouth with a nice long finish. As a group we drank 6 bottles at my birthday dinner and they were all consistent.
A really nice wine after about an hour in a decanter, but this Magnum seemed to wear out as the night progressed. Nevertheless, this wine was nicely balanced and the tannins were well integrated with the fruit.
