Tasted by Adam'n Eve it! on 8/6/2008 & rated 87 points: Offering a tantalizing fruity smell from a distance wets expectations, which chiefly are rewarded with an entertaining 14.5% alcohol content--the major contributor to a calm complexity--that an immediate salute does not diminish. (1255 views)
Tasted by dnaknc on 8/4/2008 & rated 85 points: Not bad, but not the best C. Hughes I have had. For the money!!!!!! yes...... (1237 views)
Tasted by glowe8 on 8/3/2008 & rated 92 points: color....dark and a touch cloudy as if unfiltered. Nose....currants, black fruit, spice, and oak. Taste...wow! Beautifully dark in fruit with incredible balance and follow through. This is without a doubt one of the finest $14 bottles of wine I've had in 25 years of drinking wine. If I had spent $40 I'd still be excited. Sorry guys but I have to score this in the 90s.. If you can find it (bought mine at Costco) go load up the car. (1214 views)
Tasted by schnittle on 8/2/2008 & rated 89 points: Solid cab. (1143 views)

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
