Drinking great. Bought at the winery upon release, have had two others. A cross between a CA pinot and an OR pinot. Beautiful mix of red and dark fruits, nice acidity, tastes a little like a sparkling wine, med body, long finish. Not the 94 pointer that Parker suggests, but an outstanding wine. Keeps improving, no indication of decline. Drink now or hold. Highly Recommended.
I have more that a few vintages of Brickhouse. I store my wine very well. I really like this wine and this winery. I like their style, their ethic, and their price point. But they just don't seem to age consistently. This bottle was bitter, astringent, and days away from vinegar and alcohol. I dunno...Sometime I write these notes for the winemaker and those of you who have a bottle in the cellar...winemaker: put some backbone in the wine for aging...drinkers...don't take this to that special occasion...cause you may be embarrassed
