  • Previous bottle that shared with friend was flawed so I was uncertain about the condition of this bottle and decided to open to drink it alone. Well it turned out an enjoyable and matured wine.
Medium dark ruby with brick red rims. Elegant and pretty complex aromas of wild red berry, red currant and cherry intermix with cedar, earth, leather and hints of spice. A nice developed nose.
Mellow and tart entry, showing ribena, blackcurrant and sour plum interwoven with herbs and subtle earth. Slowly evolves to show tobacco, dark fruits and hints of mint. Finishes long with soft and velvety tannins.

  • Thrillingly good, racy acidity and funky redcurrant fruit.

  • Opened it at my Son's Birthday Party at Cookyn Inc.

Tannins are almost gone and secondary flavours are showing well.

    Drinking very well.

Probably the best time to drink up now.

  • Clear, pale red colour with a slight brown edge. Tar, tobacco and liquorice on nose. Earthy and leathery flavours along with a touch of aniseed at the end. High acid with a long finish. Matched very nicely with grilled lamb chops. Probably towards the end of its drinking life.

  • Appearance was clear, medium garnet. On the nose, aromas of tobacco, earth, truffles, leather, plums, meat, figs, charred wood, smoke and a slight touch of umami in it. Developed.
The palate was dry, high acidity, medium+ tannin, medium+ bodied and medium+ finish. Flavours of plums, vanilla and black cherries. Overall very good quality and in excellent drinking window. Can hold its own despite being drank beside the 890.
