  • COLOR - crystal clear dead-on color of kid's apple juice. NOSE - The bouquet was interesting, I got a strong hint of some overripe melon, like a cantelope or honeydew that has been cut up and in the fridge for a week. Also got a very faint hint of cardamom on the finish. Little tight on the pop, but was probably a little too cold. Opened up as the night went on, and as we finish off the bottle, getting MOUTH - Very viscous, syrupy. Almost a liquid brown sugar initially on the tongue - actually maybe more like a liquid Werthers candy. Of course you get the raisin component, but almost like raisins dipped in molasses. No real acidity left in it at this point. Very short finish, a little disappointing, but it's beyond the winery's anticipated 10-year drinking period.
