Transparent crimson color. Aromas of earth, funk, cola, and anise. Medium body, medium+ finish and good acidity, with red & dark red fruits, black tea, and dried herbs on the palate. Nice pinot; well made. 90+

More Burgundy than New World. Perfume and a bit of earthy funk on the nose. Medium-bodied with a fair amount of acidity. Fruit depth is good enough to carry off the whole package. At $20, this is better than most similarly priced stuff I've had from Burgundy, and caters nicely to G's palate. For me, this is a "time and place" wine....nice for that meal or setting where a Kosta Browne is too big for the moment.

I liked the initial pinot-funk nose, but that sorta blew off. This has razor sharp minerals, which were almost a bit harsh. Not sure what to say.... 87-88 probably.

(Delta Hatter's Hill Pinot Noir) #3; COLOR-medium; NOSE-very aggressive; big nose; chalky; definite cherries for days; very smoky and almost salty minerality; almost like sardines; a little creamy too; some breakfast ham; PALATE-a lot of minerality; chopped rock; chalkiness; well made; a little blueberry on the tail end; not quite my cup of tea; GUESS: $35; a very good wine, but the minerality is too aggressive and too big for me, but many would like; NM-91; GV-87

Not my cup of tea at all. All I can think of is how tart/sour the initial taste reveals. Might be passed its prime.
