  Too much heat upon opening mellowed about an hour. This wine is past it's prime. Drink up.

  I opened my last bottle of this (I have one 2007 vintage remaining.) Dark berries, chocolate and mint on the nose and palate; ripe and rich. You can feel a little heat from the high alcohol percentage. Lots of peppery spice.
