Light nose with grapey fruit and mineral hints. Off dry, light bodied with somewhat dilute fruit and even lacking a little acidity on a short finish. Drinkable, but little more.

Pale/medium lemon green. Medium/medium + intense nose with sweet grapey and floral fruit and kerosene and mineral hints. On the palate medium dry with good balancing acidity. A light/medium bodied wine with medium intense sweet grape flavours and mineral hints on a somewhat abrupt finish. Acceptable quality wine, with good balance and attractive enough fruit flavours - however in my view lacking a little intensity/complexity. Drink now and over next 2-3 years.

Boy this went down fast and easy. It showed signs of leakage, so I was concerned. No worries, this bottle was pristine. Lovely nose of wet slate and lemon oil. The palate following in kind. Best of all this wine was in perfect balance. Yum.

Seattle Tasting Group does 1990 & older Bordeaux (Seattle, WA, USA): AP #77530100901. The nose is nicely advance showing plastic and honeysuckle. On the palate this is fairly heavy and sweet, far heavier than a Kabinett should be. This does show nice, lemony persistence, but compared to the 2001 it is monolithic and clumsy. I would never have picked these wines as back to back vintages of the same wine.
