Took a while to open up, but after 2 hrs or so, this was plush and smooth. Red currant, plum, leather, hints of green (basil and mint), and velvety tannins. Should hold for at least 3-5yr.

No notes taken, but this has improved considerably since my last note. Still very fresh, but with layers of flavor. Probably approaching peak at this point, but there's no reason these won't hold at this level for quite a few more years.

Caught this at peak. It is a lighter style, but correct for type. Fully mature, not complex or thought provoking, but steady and pleasant. Drink up.

Saturday Afternoon/Evening at Fernando's (Queens, NY): Deep ruby color. Nose of coffee and ripe tomato, with sweet blackberries on the palate and fine, still youthful tannins. I would give this a few more years.
