Pnp. Paso fruit, new world. Grenache very present. Enjoyed w bbq. Settled a lot from tasting and purchase experience. Still very alive, just not as big.

Solid stuff - white pepper, dark cherry and wild flowers on the nose. Hard to pinpoint specific palate flavors - there's a nice sappy richness here with a mix of blue and red fruits supported by near perfect acidity. This is probably drinking near its peak.

Color: medium/dark ruby -> medium ruby rim. Nose of rasperries, cherries, some oak. Was hoping for more gaminess given the 25% dollop of mourvedre in the blend, but not to be found (yet?). Palate was delicious. Medium full bodied wine that was still somewhat tannic. IMO still needs a couple of years to rest. Nice length and concentration. Would like to have followed over a few hours but the bottle was polished off pretty quickly by everyone. I was surprised by how much the grenache dominated the palate of this wine. Wondering if a few more years will allow the syrah and mourvedre components to strut their stuff and add some complexity.

Rich, ripe, extracted, hot; surprisingly jammy for being 50% Grenache; needs bold flavors to not overpower food.
