Gary's Belated Birthday Dinner (Paris Club - Chicago IL): Popped and poured. Blackberry with black pepper, cooked mushroom and some sweet spice. Lots of power and nuance throughout. Very charming and long. Happy birthday, Gary!

Euro Themed Lunch - Rhones (Donato Enoteca, Redwood City, CA): Surprisingly good for a 50+ yo Rhone! Brown/ruby red. Very cloudy. Smokey, licorice, raspberry, cherry nose. A little bit tired, but still excellent smooth palate! Long smooth finish. Outstanding!!
