  Colour still young and dark for Pinot. Initial assessment slightly disappointing with violet nose and rather dry soft tannins with good aciidity. After an hour it improved, with more fruit (cherry) emerging on the nose and a sweetness on the palate to balance the dryness. Possibly left too long for my taste.

  What a great wine drinking so well right now. Plenty of mushrooms, spices (even Asian as Otis and Mrs French16 suggested). Med body, silky, integrated tannins, complex with a lot going on. Dark fruits and cherry with plenty of mushrooms, hint of coffee.
  Long and intense finish.
  This note is from memory as I didn't take any notes a week ago.
