Who says there are no bargains in burgundy? Bright, structured and rich. Drank next to a 2007 cal era Ryan vineyard (a great bottle) and them class and breeding on burgundy showed through. Great juice, built towage, and drinking well now. Buy it if you can. Like a $100 bottle.
Young pinot nose, somewhat disjointed, acid, fruit, a little 'sharp', but nice. No roasted or 'pruny' flavors. Much nicer today vs. the Cathiard 'Malconsorts' that I had yesterday. Young red-fruit pinot flavors, well-framed by the acidity and a hit of tannin on the back end. Really long, maybe 60+ seconds... This is a really nice wine. You can drink it today with some red meat (fat!), or store it for 10 years and let it properly integrate.
An under-the-table bonus at a trade tasting. Very interesting. Soft and rich, great fruit and a sauve personality. Mouthfilling. Lingering finish with black currants and molasses-touch. Delicious! Certainly doesn't proclaim itself as NSG, but who cares?
