This unique blend is the flagship wine of Lone Madrone. Apparently wine club members flip over this stuff ... I found it good, but surprisingly middle-of-the-road for such an adventurous blend. The bouquet is complex, with darts of cherry, oak and cedar, but the spicy palate is too oaky. This wine has a garnet color of medium-deep depth, is medium-bodied, and has a short finish.

A bit past it's prime. Somewhat raisiny with some sour notes on the finish with a bit of cocoa and tobacco.

NOSE: sweet; freshly cut grass; not complex (yes, this is a red wine)
BODY: dark purple-garnet color of medium-deep depth
TASTE: loganberry; cigar; oak; tannic, but enough acidity to keep it in balance; full palate; needs some time
