We drank this bottle with prime rib after decanting for an hour. It was a beautifully dark wine. With no sign of browning and was very sturdy in the glass. The nose had dark cherry, a touch of fig and cassis. The cherry and fig remained when we tasted in addition to tobacco, leather and hints of green pepper. Overall the wine was very balanced and smooth with very low tannins. The bottle could continue to hold for 5+ years.
