Found this one in the corner of the cellar, and decided to drink it, as I thought it might have been over the hill. It was actually very good, and had some surprising notes of camphor/mint, red flowers, oak, and lightly stewed fruit on the nose. The palate had ripe red berry fruit, forest floor, and iron/minerals. It did have a slightly drying finish. Wonderful stuff for its age.

Best California Pinot I've ever had. Fully mature, soft, feminine, defined. Easy to drink, but not simplistic. Strawberry notes, almost reminiscent of Blow Pop, but not cloying. Holds up to and complements BBQ ribs and smoked center loin alike. Better than the battle 14 months ago. May be bottle variation. Won't improve from here. Drink up.

cloudy, red, orange hints in the color. chemical, smoke, raspberry, brett, on the nose. cherry, smoke, earth, raspberry, on the palate. if you like brett, this wine is for you, it's laced with it from start to finish.

Opened, decanted for 30 minutes. dark ruby, lighter on the rim. Beautiful nose of dark berries & violets. Raspberry, strawberry, w cherry notes & a little peppery spice and vanilla. This was a beautiful bottle; definitely more mature than suggested in my last notes (18 months ago) but still a good structure, silky smooth mouthfeel and lingering Burgundy-like finish. I really love this wine and the style when i compare w many of the newer CA pinot - not a dis on the bigger fruit many of the new pinots are showing but this is almost old world from the new world.

Really like these wines, but I think the age showed as a medicinal overtone
