Petite Sirah is an awesome grape varietal. However, this wine tastes mass produced, 2nd or 3rd level quality fruit, with nice nose of cherries and plum, nice upfront initial attack in mouth, but hollow mid-palate, and a boring transition all throughout. A dark, violet color wine. Good in some ways, but disjointed to some extend; flabby to some extend, no cellar potential whatsoever. If you have a bottle, drink it now.

This needed at least an hour of decanting, but once it had a chance to open up, it was considered superior to it's Sierra Foothills sibling at our Que Syrah, Shiraz and Sirah Tasting.

Definitely on its way downhill ... if you're still hanging on to any, it's probably not a good idea.

Sad to say, but I think this is past its prime. Not much of anything there anymore ... flabby and unexciting.
