Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 89.5 points

  • Solid, ripe, integrated. Middle of the pack for TB Block 8 vintages.

  • Long past the drink by date, but still not bad. This past bunch of wines I bought from a charity benefit had some corked wines in it, and I was relieved to see this wasn't among that group. I'm not sure why I'm bothering to rate or comment on this, considering how unlikely it is that I'll see another (or that anyone else here will, either).

Still a good drink, pleasant in the early summer evening, and I'm sure it'll be fine with this evening's dinner of salmon and fresh zucchini as well.

    Edit: 6/17/2015

I came back to this to change the score. After letting this sit overnight, it really opened up. It's pretty amazing to realize that this wine was bottle 11 years ago. This year was the first time I'd even noticed the Terra Blanca winery (we have so many good wineries in WA that it's easy to miss some). It's worth making the trip out to the middle of nowhere to buy directly from them, although you can often find recent vintages in the local stores.
