Red with clear maturity towards brown. Nose: Gunpowder extravaganza, very attractive maturity R uS including burnt hair and other wonderful stuff. Palate: This has some good tannins still, is transparent with raw wood, mineral bits and some vegetabilia. Intense and a real wine on its plateau, where it will remain for some time. In its stride - YAY!
Out of 24 wines, nine tasters gave this wine the evening's highest score of a humble, Swedish: 89.6 points. I agree to the recognition, but would have been happy to see a higher score :-)
Wonderfully expressive nose, rich and deep, dark pitch, fleshy sweet black fruit, smoky, fishy, hints of cocoa and game; on the palate it seems quite big and burly, intense and flavoursome, but it has found its balance and the flavours have a wonderful lift, rosehip and forest floor, clean, fresh, satiny, lovely tannic grip; excellent length. Top notch New Zealand Pinot Noir, deliciously addictive.

An absolute masterpiece with a clean appearance. Wet clay, limestone and an overall complexity. Wonderful fruit, orange blossom and abundant minerals combined with earthiness and dried herbs. The palate adds to the overall experience with meticulous balance and lower acidity compared to more recent vintages. The length on the finish just goes on and on. This effort is extremely elegant and a true masterpiece. Lovely!

Pinot noir extravaganza (Stockholm, Sweden): I loved this one. First thought it was a 98p wine of pure pedigree, but changed my mind as the sniffing and gargling went on.
