This bottle seemed even more youthful than previous ones but once again showed why Marcassin is so renown with Pinot noir. Beautiful in every way - fragrance, flavor, texture, balance. Black raspberry fruit. Light, focused, ethereal.
While at first this displayed the lovely red cherry aroma of a Chambolle-Musigny it has shown before, this time it faded rather quickly. Still, the flavor and texture are very fine and some background earthiness is welcome.
