PnP. Violet-tinged garnet. Kinda wow! Surprisingly open nose with cherry, cinnamon/Asian spice, pine, and a touch of pinot funk. Palate is balanced, but lacks mineral tension. Comes across as Cali in this regard, but there is complexity of flavor, penetration and a nice finish. I think this has plenty of life ahead, but doubt it's going to get better.
Intense but balanced New World PN. Definite improvement over previous tasting in 2009. Bouquet still developing. Dark cherry favors dominate. Soft tannins present along with enough acid. Should have several more years at this level (or better).
