A smoky nose with some greener notes, beef stock and sandalwood. The palate is lean through the mid and has some vegetal and herbal action. Fruit falvours have a tart edge and it is of modest length. An ok drink, but will scare anyone who is frightened of green.

Surprisingly La Forge de Tart outperformed Sylvain Cathiard Vosne Romanee by the slightest measurable amount.
A more pronounced nose than S Cathiard VR. Whole stem red rose. Deep and observable green leafs and pencil lead. Well balanced oak toast and medium weight of fruit/spices aromas.
Good firmness and intensity with touch of black truffle. Slight development of meat. A bit of butter and cornflakes, generous mouth roundness and wild berries. Leaning towards Bonnes Mares
Green but sensible.
90/100

Pronounced 04 green on the nose with aromas of celery salt mirepoix and nettles. There are some sweet fruits behind the green and the palate is quite round and fleshy. Colour is bright and good and the wine breathes up ok in the glass. I would leave it for a few years as I suspect it will improve.

(Mommessin Morey St.Denis La Forge) The nose shows spice and a good core of fruit. Tasting shows a little fat and earth, interesting flavours, nice concentration and good acidity. Some tannin shows, but it's not too unruly and the finish lasts well. Worth it's 1er Cru label.
