Pop and poured but began singing an hour afterwards. Dark, smooth, mocha, minerals. Tannins slightly coarse but a lovely albeit short finish. Very much my type of wine. Great value. Day 2 - Despite vacuum pumping and putting it in the fridge, lost all sense of complexity and became and nice simple decent weighted glass of wine. 85. One-day drinker only.

Damp earthy nose, good rich coffee leather, slightly hollow in the middle at first but my second taste was much fuller, finishes up with nice sweet tannins. A rustic wine. My favourite of the Spanish tasting.

Paired with flat iron steak and chimichurri. I wish that it was not Monday, lest we would have finished this bottle! Memories of plates of Manchego and aceites in Madrid's Quevedo Metro!

Brett? Just a muddled tasting bottle.

Dark fruit with notes of tobacco and leather. Good balance, fine tannins, and a nice finish. Really nice old style Rioja crianza.
