Mourvedre (TTTG blind tasting): Very sadly, this was the worst wine of the night. Perhaps this was faulty, perhaps it was just over the hill. Fairly hot, perhaps maderized. Little to add.

Surprise! Synthetic corck, if I had known.... Drank at restaurant after the meal(!), to taste. Plums and blackcurrant, tannins smooth and a hint of something herbal. Velevty, not very CdnP, more merlot based bdx. Some sweet tobacco and vanilla, but not to many earthy armoas. May benefit from further cellaring, but drinks very well now.

Brought to tasting, a few thought it to be oxidized, but I thought it was drinkable and just characteristically mourvedre. Re-corked and took to steak dinner 4+ hours later where it was much nicer, with plenty of forward fruit and nice mouth feel. Yum, but my last bottle!
