Wine pours a pleasant yellow-gold, but that's about all that's good with the wine at this point.
Probably at one time it was good, but now way past its prime. All vibrancy has vanished from the nose leaving a flat scent of balsa wood and tart fruit. I agree with vitisvinifera1599... there is a hint of burnt popcorn. Taste is sour and bitterness dominates. Malo-lactic fermentation was employed, and the wine is still big and soft. Unfortunately it finishes bitter, alcoholic and slightly rotten.
Bottom line... Do not buy this wine. The 2007 vintage is no longer viable.

burnt popcorn nose. lots of burnt caramal and toffee, with strong butter taste, hints of vanilla and dull tree fruit. rather straight forward and fleeting.

Holy oak monster batman! This wine seems like it has lost a lot of its primary fruit and just retained the wood chips. I'm pretty sure I'm licking a particle board or 2x4. I'm not one of those guys who hates the oak though. I would recommend it for my friends who love the oak monster. I just can't score this wine very high.
