Had this wine after being decanted for 2 hours, phenomenal wine, hit every mark in my book. Huge nose, mocha and cherries and best of all a loooonnggg finish! Wish I had 6 more bottles! I'm not a sommelier but my brother in law is and he highly recommended this wine, he was right!

Decanted 90 minutes. Very young and closed, but it's obviously well-made, the nose giving well-integrated vanilla, roasted meat, black licorice, black plum, sweet acacia flowers, and coffee bean. Full-bodied but extremely tight palate, cranberry reduction, red and black berry, lots of fruit concentration but so firm and muted in its youth, very high acidity, strong steeped-tea-like tannins on the finish. Textbook top tier Shiraz, not overdone, but too young to impress right now. Needs a few more years. Drink 2017-2025.

Don't give many 93's. Prior notes confirm my rating. Wish each bottle had a nipple!

Mirror my previous post - really a great example of a Barossa Shiraz. Goes great with a Mocha-crusted Ribeye!
