Much cleaner and less oxidative than the other bottle consumed in April 2012. Mid amber in hue. Luscious complex nose of butterscotch, hazelnuts, pears and tangerine. Richly bodied flavours of caramel, dried apricots, sultanas and marzipan. Never ending finish. A pleasure to drink.

Attractive rusty amber colour. The nose indicated that this wine is starting to fade, with few viognier floral tones, instead dominated by layered but pleasant oxidative notes, with complex butterscotch, sultanas, dried apricots and hazel nuts. The taste was dry and clean, continuing that butterscotch / sultana flavour and opening into cantaloupe melons. A bit past its best (and I have another bottle to drink up) but nevertheless an enjoyable drinking experience.

Rusty amber color. Complex nose of sultana raisin, apricot, brown sugar, and a drop of butterscotch. Rounded edges, narrows on the palate to a subtle melon/lemon-lime and flour component. Very thought-provoking.

Not quite as amazing as the last couple times I've had this wine, but there's bound to be some bottle variation at this point in its life. Still very tasty, and worked beautifully with glazed ham.

Rich full bodied white. Softens and lightens as it opens. Sure it's time to drink these up, but they are still quite lovely.
