In memoriam Bordeaux tasting for Piet Kuiper (@ RvD): Beautiful and mature bouquet with oak and autumn impressions. Same on the palate, beautiful red and dark berries, some cigar box and beautiful, juicy acidity. The tannin still has a soft bite.

Slightly glossy red berry fruit, anise, light vanilla notes. Some soft tannin remaininjg, decent acids, nice cigarbox finish. Not compelling but it was like $25 on release. B/B-

Great showing for this wine. Textbook Margaux elegance and aromatics. It's laser focused and beautifully concentrated. Robust fruit, moving from fully primary to embracing secondary characteristics. This is just so fine and so fun to drink. Classic wine from a classic vintage. A-/A

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of spices, black fruits, toast, char wood. Medium acidity and medium tannin.

A very decent Bordeaux at the price point. Last tasted 2016. Has improved good nose, texture and attractive length. Wish I had more !!
