  • Medium yellow. Petrol and guava. Medium to full bodied. Dry but succulent and long. Reaching full maturity. Excellent.

  • Golden yellow. Petrol, ripe apple on nose. A bit of an oxidative note in this bottle. Ripe apricot, golden delicious apple and honey notes. Just a touch of sweetness on the finish. Not as good as previous bottle- may be either OTH or spoiled.

  • Medium yellow, very sound for a 15 year old Riesling. Vivid aromas of yellow peach, ginger, and herbs but no secondary scents. Fuller and more densely packed than a bottle 5 months ago. Terrific purity of fruit, a little spice, and then a rush of acidity and soil toward the end. Either there is a bit of residual sugar, or I am just being fooled by the amount of glycerine here. Dynamite wine that still seems coiled, full of energy and material, and ready to go on for another 15 years if given the opportunity.

  • Not tasted in almost 10 years. Medium yellow color. Mostly herbs on the nose, no secondary development. Completely dry, excellent acidity, and still has the flesh of fruit even if one cannot pick out discrete fruit flavors. What I am saying is that it does not give the impression of being too austere or dried out at all. Lemony and mineral toward the end. Absolutely delicate feel (although it would be a stretch to call it Germanic in weight) without the density you often feel at this level of Austrian Riesling. Marvelous wine just about arriving at an early phase of maturity.

  • Good medium hay color, has a beautiful nose of fresh Riesling fruit, showing just a touch of age; fabulous medium intensity and depth, nice saline umami, a touch of oily density, good medium acidity and a lovely streak of minerality through the finish; shows some nice development but still nicely youthful. Gorgeous wine at early peak.
