BTG from a freakin' IMPERIAL at EMP. Dark caramel color, verging on mahogany. But this is delicious! Like tincture of salted caramel, excellent sweet acid balance. Not really sweet enough at this stage to stand up to sweet desserts, but marvelous on its own as an after dinner drink. Surprisingly concentrated and intense given weak vintage, surprisingly lithe and juicy for a wine so sweet.
Medium gold color. Intense nose of apricot, brioche, honey and vanilla, with hay, dry leaf and woodsy notes. On the palate it is silky and full bodied, very satisfying if not exactly explosive in the mouth.
