  • My final bottle of this vintage. Part of a Spanish wine tasting at a Steakhouse with my wine group. All the reds were opened, but not decanted, for over 45 minutes before serving. Great bouquet on the nose. Long finish. I think if you like the Clio, you will love the El Nido! Even those in my group who don't love Cabernet Sauvignon (and there are a few), loved this!

  • Inviting dark purple and inky in the glass. Superb concentration and balance. Has a round mouthfeel and the wine is syrupy and thick in a pleasant way. Has focused flavors with integrated woos and has a delicious factor. Long length and pleasant finish. A real crowd pleaser!

  • Color: black cherry
Nose:dark fruit, plum cedar vanilla, with hint of “chaparral” and crysanthamum. I could just spend my time smelling this wine and die happy.
    Medium/full body, structured
Plum cocoa and spice on palate with lingering finish…yum
Wish I had another bottle or 12

  • Well, this was a treat! Medium purple robe with a splash of brick. Explosive nose that kept on evolving. Black plum, chocolate, graphite and cassis at first. Then the nose exploded in so many directions: prune, brown sugar, sweet leather, maple syrup, baked fig, aged balsamic and baking spice. Bold in mouth. Melted tannins and tamed acidity. A him of alcoholic warmth. Raspberry, vanilla, plum and ripe black cherry. Very long finish. I want more!

  • Yet another outstanding vintage of El Nido. Still drinking great. Dark fruit still prominent. Doesn’t need much air to hit its sweet spot, but still going strong after four hours open. El Nido never disappoints.
