A solid chardonnay, tasting beautifully after almost 7 years. No signs of age. Golden color, tastes of butterscotch and some herbs, nice malolactic fermentation notes. A winner, and should continue to age well.

(Catena Alta Chardonnay) #1; (tasted blind); COLOR-golden; NOSE-nice; balanced; very fresh & vibrant; melon; very pretty; peach, apricot; subtle oak; great integrations; PALATE-Awesome; still fairly creamy; definitely some butter; bright and vibrant; this is more of a New World play, but this wine is for everybody as it's right in that sweet spot between Old and New World; I really like this; JM-93; GV-92+
