Introduction to Riesling: The most classic Riesling nose of the lot. A bit of petrol, citrus, very elegant. splendid. Some roundness on the palate, just a bit too much. Then lemon zest and it finds its balance, although the roundness is there. Very long. WOTN for most people.

Beautiful, a big wine done right. It has a massive, steely core (and a good hit of sulfur), framed by delicate, white floral fruit. Very impressive. From memory alc was only around 11.5% or so.

Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #020: Riesling Grosses Gewächs (By JdB): Smoke, minerals and some herbs in the bouquet. On the palate tropical fruits, some sweet notes, honey and minerals. Good acidity and length with some grapefruit in the finish.
