  The is the base score for the wine, puts the score in a range
  Score of 1, 2 or 3
  1 - Doesn't leave me wanting more (base score: D)
  2 - Decent (base score: C)
  3 - Why is the bottle empty already (base score: B+)
  
  Refinements
  These are sub-factors which skew the score one way or another. Each factor is again a 3 point scale:
  -1 : Didn't like
  0 : No strong feeling or Don't remember
  +1 : Liked
  
  Each refinement can move the overall score by 1 position (ie, from a B+ to a A or a D to D-)

  Typical strawberry and earth nose. Almost no tannin in the mouth. Taste of strawberry, earth completly dropped out. Aftertaste of strawberry and lime. Not offensive, but not the best pinot noir.

  Deep red robe with some age showing in the rim.
  Complex nose, developing.
  Spicey ripe complex dense fruit palate with lovely long finish.
  Tannins are pleasingly present and acid balance is terrific.
  Superb value at $20 cdn.

  Nose of syrupy red cherry. Full bodied cherry with some nutmeg spice. Fairly short finish with smooth vanilla oak.
