Had high hopes for this bottle given the lineage, concentrated fruit and mellow acidity, but nothing remarkable. Drink now, likely to fade into the sunset soon!

Medium red color. Subtle nose, with a hint of tobacco, a bit of barnyard in addition to the red fruit. Sour cherries and strawberries on the palate, and some pronounced tannin. Less resolved than the '06 Hallberg that we had at Thanksgiving. Seemed to smooth out with some air - maybe needed a bit more bottle age?

We were expecting this to be good, but it was great! Paired it with Atlantic salmon with a hsoi hsin-wasabi-saracha glaze, incredible!

Great Pinot, Jammy slight tannins. Great wine for the season. Could use 1 more year in the cellar. I have 4 more and will let you know next year.
