  One of the best burgundies I have ever had - I kid you not.
  
  This wine was truly a revelation, and has set the benchmark for me and given me something to look forward to - I must find more wines like this.
  
  Dark, blood red garnet to the eye, only a very slight color change discernable - I'd suggest that the earlier poster may have had a flawed bottle that was stored badly.
  
  The nose is amazing - rich, dark fruits, along with a hint of candied raspberries. Yet into this, I detected all sorts of profiles that rung bells in my head of aged Gran Reserva Riojas, and Tuscan wines.
  
  The palate is just incredibly rich and massively complex. So MANY layers and notes, couldn't get enough of this wine.
  
  Hate to say it, but so many red Burgundies I have tried have been Pinot cliches - NOT this one. Absolutely fantastic. Get hold of some of this.

  Upon opening immediately noted an orange tint indicating significant bricking; nose was stale, taste was thin, washed out, little fruit remaining. A sad story. This bottle was well past its prime, barely drinkable.
