  Pure garnet red, no bricking around the edges. The color was lighter than I remembered it when first tasted 5 years ago. On the palate, some cherries, racy acidity, and a bit thinner than I remembered. Also, the fruit seems to have migrated to the background and the bracing tannins had melted away. All in all, an enjoyable wine but it did not develop the secondary characteristics I was hoping for. For future reference, I think this may have enjoyed its prime around the 4th year.
