Nice aromatic intensity. Chalk and shortbread. Slight caramel apple, candied lemon and grapefruit. Sweet butter. Acidity keeps it fresh, good balance. Hints of smoke and pepper. Yellow flowers. Rich and somewhat honeyed on the palate, should develop nicely for a few more years.

Creamy texture with sweet honey yeast bread nose and pallete. yummmm could be a fast rising favorite of mine. I find great pleasure in the 1998's of most houses...this is no exception. Superb quality. Drink for the next 10 years.

Golden color, a bit flat by for a 98. Nose of chalk and some kind of fatty nut. Very smooth. Medium bodied. Acid is present, but well integrated. Really delicious. Short but pleasant citrussy finish

My ony bottle and a real winner it was. Rich and fat for a BdeB, toasty, full. Excellent acidity, foamy, medium size bubbles and satisfying by itself or with food.

New Year's Week 2008/9; 12/28/2008-1/4/2009 (Northwoods): Always interesting to taste champagnes from smaller producers. This one "hung in there", but didn't have the complexity of some of the "heavy hitters" opened. A very nice wine that on any other occasion would have been a perfect treat. More depth and complexity this time around than a couple of years ago. Drinking well now, and should continue to hold for a couple of years.

(Pierre Péters Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Millésimé) Very appealing bright citrus and floral nose; excellent, rounded, chalky, with bright fruit and great acidity; medium-plus finish 94+ pts. (perfect with our Stellar Bay oysters)
