Eclectic wine tasting (at my home): dark opaque red-black excellent mature dark fruits nose with tertiary & earthy notes full bodied, soft firm tannins, excellent balance & harmony, very good structure and complexity, smoked meat, spices, tobacco, excellent finish & aftertaste. A remarkable wine!

Dark ruby. Nose of black olives, black cherries, and other dark aromas. Juicy and concentrated on the palate, well balanced. Long finish with distinct coffee notes.

dark red-brown-black 100% Tempranillo intense earthy flashy smoky spicy mineral black fruits aromas Full body, firm grip tannins, complex & structured, high acidity, good bitterness, lot of fruits, range of savoury flavours, spices, smoked & roasted meat; long & present aftertaste. it can be enjoyed now and/or it should drink well through 2020. High value for money!

From a bargain bin, corte ingles sevilla. N: Smoke, plum, a hint of fur, cherry. P: Old school, a bit rustic, big fruited, a touch of bitterness on the finish, some tannic grip showing good development, and a savoury component I sometimes admire in Fernandez's wines. Not great, but certainly good...and much better value than a recently opened 94 Janus. Well made, well aged, lacked a wow factor that easily calmed me down from buying the whole lot of marked bottles. Drink or hold, can take another 5, I'm convinced it's more hang time than further development.

50/50 thought this was corked. American oak was obvious with hints of vanilla. Still lots of tannins present.
