Dark red color with some rust at the rim and moderate transparency throughout. Aromas of dried cherry, black cherry, bay leaf, coffee, and black truffle. Palate has sweet and dried cherry elements at the core with a dusty, earthy character that underlies some sweet/spicy leaf elements that carry into a medium finish that shows some black coffee notes. This has aged gracefully and I really enjoyed it. Drink at leisure or hold for old bones.
Totally disagree with the previous note. Neither over the hill nor a poor quality wine. Has a nose of strawberry. Some very nice secondary aromas and flavours. Finish is a little short. Balanced. Delicious.
