  • Decanted but immediately starting drinking. Fine, but really fine after about an hour. Really came into its own with seamless texture, well-integrated tannins and gobs of dark fruit. What a wonderful surprise...I didn't think it would be that good at this point in its life.

  • Medium garnet with medium+ intensity aromas of violet, raspberry, blackberry, black currant, tar, tobacco, and fig. The wine is dry with medium tannins, high alcohol, and medium + acidity with medium body. It has medium + intensity flavors of raspberry, blackberry, black currants, tar, tobacco, and fig. The wine has a medium + finish and is a very good wine that can be drunk now until 2028.

  • Third of three bottles that finally lived up to the expectations that Parker gave it like 8 years ago. Decanted for about 45 minutes and this was drinking very well - it likely din't need that much air to be drinking well. Sweet raspberry and blackberry fruit with some structure still left. Still not much in the way of secondary notes, but this was showing the fruit that I would have expected upon release. Paired well with filet and NY Strip.

  • Still plenty of fruit left and drinking quite well and quite smooth. Wish I had more.

  • Decanted for about an hour, and drank over the next 1.5 hours. At initial opening, was very bitter. After the hour decant, it became better, showing cranberry and raspberry fruit. Still has unresolved tannins. Finish was just ok with a bitter component to the wine that kept me from scoring it higher.
