Raspberry, strawberry, and cherry on the nose here, with touches of brown spice. Red berry runs through the body as well, generous and also lip-smackingly acidic, and warm on the finish. Wound fairly tight at the moment, chewy, and this could use a two or three year snooze in the cellar. More than a little oak is apparent here, which I find distracting, especially in a wine this ripe. Fine length and delineation here, however, and as much as I want to subtract points for some of the stylstic choices here, it would not be fair to the underlying material, which is very strong.
Where to place Alma Rosa on the spectrum of herbal/floral to power pinot? More the latter than the former, although certainly they occupy the middleground between these positions. More styled than Au Bon Climat, but not as much as Sea Smoke or Brewer-Clifton.

Didn't like this one as much as their others. It was simpler, and didn't open up like I expected. Still a good wine, nice earthiness, good fruit.
