I’ve not had a great experience with old kistler but this is incredible. Golden. Toasty brioche and candies ginger nose. Great viscous texture. Vanilla and a nice tropical monetarily. Great lift on the very long finish. Gorgeous bottle.

wow - was expecting this to be completely over the hill - it is not - actually pretty well rounded, some complexity(!). Fruit is fading but still an upside surprise.

Honeyed color; fresh orange peel and faint almond on the effusive alcoholic nose; these aromas carry through on the palate w/ sharp acidity to maintain crisp focus. Exceptional wine. Sorry that this was my last bottle; I wish all my Kistlers could follow suit but this wine has been singular after following a whole case over 12 yrs or so; a real treat from day one.

I am getting accustomed to being surprised how youthful and fresh many of the Kistler Chards from the early to mid '90s are but this one is even more surprising than usual. What terrific acidity and a fresh, clean mid. I bit short on the finish holds this back from being a great wine. Regardless, I would drink this any day and with any food.
