Really hitting its stride. The color has deepened considerably from the first bottle opened three years ago. Flint and sweet lemon nose. All of that on the palate with a little hazelnut added. One bottle left after this from a case. So far one dud and the rest have been very good to excellent.

The more bottles I open the more I realize how much my palate varies from day to day and how much bottle variation there can be in wines. Nowhere have I found the latter to be more true than in Burgundy. Our last bottle of this wine was flat and listless. Tonight's has wonderful depth and richness. Gold color. Citrus and melon with a honeyed and nutty decadence on the finish. Excellent.

See last note. Putting on weight with time. Very good at this point.

Lemon, hazelnut and honey with a very tart finish. See previous notes for more detail although bottle variation here has been significant.
