Small cherry nose of good height. Full mocha blueberry mouth with fine tannins. Big but smooth medium-length finish of Kopiko candy, blueberry cheesecake and a bit of meat. Took two hours to really open up.

At Midsummer House Restaurant, Cambridge. Served with Roast Zander, red wine and nettles. No formal note. Intense, ripe red and morello cherry fruit and toasty oak nose. Full bodied on the palate, with ripe fruit and toasty oak, soft tannins, decent acidity but alcoholic heat dominates the finish. Not for me, Poor.
