Drank this bottle after a fruity cab sav from Napa. That contrast really brought out the earthy tones of this wine. Tannins are slightly present, and just a hint of acid. It may be at its peak now. I'll be drinking the rest of my 60's soon.

Excellent. Nice blend of Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec. An explosive, big wine. Rotating flavors of dark fruits, spiciness, cedar, earth. Good structure, smooth. Drying finish.

Very dark fruit especially blackberry (nose). Luscious sweet dark fruit taste. Really enjoy Spring Valley Vineyard products-- constant over time and popular when drinking. WW2!

(Spring Valley Vineyards Frederick Walla Walla Valley) Lovely dried red fruits mix with rosehips and light earth aromas. A bold, powerful taste packed with tannins and coffee notes. Still needs a good deal of time. 54% Cabernet; 27% Cab Franc; 10% Merlot; 7% Petit Verdot; 2% Malbec. 15.4% alcohol. 3,000 cases produced.
(Spring Valley Vineyards Frederick Walla Walla Valley) Milk chocolate mixes with anise, rose petals, black licorice, dark berry, and cigar box aromas on a fairly elegant nose for a wine that packs such a big punch. Beautifully structured with an elegant tannin backbone that provides structure but doesn’t overpower. Will benefit from some time in the cellar. 54% Cabernet; 27% Cab Franc;10% Merlot; 7% Petit Verdot; 2% Malbec. 15.4% alcohol.

While still tasty, past its prime. If you have it, drink now. Given this review, I will not rate wine.
