  • Beautiful, mature wine. Soft as a pillow now with a display of honeyed, nutty fruits and with a great, refreshing acidity and minerality. Opens up to reveal more complexity with air. This is the reason I still buy white Burgundy.

  • It's been a couple of years since I drank a bottle of this last and wow has this evolved. A very distinct nose of honeyed fruits and fennel with a whiff of citrus. The oak that I thought I detected years back is fully integrated now. Fills out nicely on the palate, has a big presence with intense mineral flavors. This is lovely. Opened to enjoy with the first Mont d'Or of the season and a selection of other cheeses.

  • More substantial now with a nice core of honeyed fruit, nuts and a grainy texture. A good expression of the more rugged appellation of Pernand. Enjoyed with scallops from Nantucket.

  • A bit clumsy compared to the Chablis Les Clos from Brocard, but also it is an entirely different wine. I do sense some oak on the nose, but there is enough fruit to contain it. A serious, sturdy wine with honeyed/nutty flavors and a less piercing minerality compared to the Chablis. As with the previous bottle, I thought that the wine may benefit from more time in the cellar so it can soften up a bit more and add complexity. More like a Corton with some butterscotch coming through. Wait.

  • Wow, this wine is still young - potentially too young at this stage. Pale yellow. Citrus infused nose with a very steely minerality. Very high level of acidity here, lots of energy on the palate. Tastes like a young Chablis. Fantastic value.
