Color: deep purple Nose: v janasse ie big n new world Palate: dark fruit, big jammy wine, a Parker favorite n I understand why if you like 16% alc wines, phew hot on the back, lacking elegance or finesse, we struggled to finish this wine after a rayas 05 and 05 bonneau celestins, not my style of Cdp
Had it with ginger bread flavored desert. Typical Janasse VV nose and perfectly drinkable. However it wasn't with a wow-factor which I usually have when drinking the 09. The Janasse VV 07, 09, 10 - they are all great. However, I tend towards the 09, especially as this is the one with the best qpr of them all. So for me it's not worth paying 200 € for this. Even if parker marks it as a perfect wine (100PP).
2007 Chateauneuf du Pape casting - high-level wines (Osteria da Fiorella, Tel Aviv): double decanted 2 hours before perfect at opening, but some minor deterioration within 2-3 hours. (happened twice with the 2005 vintage till the wine wasn't drinkable) dark opaque purple intense aroma of black cherry, earth, animal, pepper, spice and a touch of oak-vanilla full bodied, rich, thick, intense, mouth filling and rich array of flavours dominant finish with structured fleshy ripe cherries
