  The cork snapped in two as I opened this bottle so this effected the score. The wine was dark and full with rich dark chocolate tones. Cork sediment did make it past the filter and half the cork is floating in the wine.

  What a different Malbec if you compared it with my last Catena.
  Profound, dense, still a dark colour. Vivid nose, plenty of the aromas you are waiting for: white pepper, ashes, roses, cherry pot, …all in this bottle.
  Palate offers a dense yet firm wine with two extras: that elegant Chilean touch and, cause those 15%, some heat. After all, a nice match for local seafood empanadas at La Parguera, PR
  
  Qué Malbec tan diferente si lo comparas con mi último Catena. Profundo, dense y todavía de color oscuro. Nariz vívida, llena de esos aromas que estás esperando: pimienta blanca, cenizas, rosas, revuelto de cerezas,…todo en esta botella. La boca ofrece un vino denso y todavía firme con dos extras: ese toque chileno elegante y, por esos 15 grados, algo de calor. Después de todo, un buen compañero para unas empanadas locales de marisco en La Parguera, Puerto Rico

  Opened with 6 other bottles in a tasting, classic malbec deep purple color and nose, sweet fruits, alcohol strong and you can feel it, medium short finish. Easy drinking but lacks complexity and variation.
